That new law is designed to counter human rights abuses against the Uyghur minority.

Conflict Minerals

In accordance with Dodd Frank section 1502 and 13P the buyer, as a distributor of military and commercial fasteners and electromechanical components, will maintain a strict “supplier chain of evidence” with respect to parts purchased, to ensure that no parts or materials received will have been mined from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) or any associated countries.

TSCA (Toxic Substance Control Act)

The Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976 (TSCA) regulates the manufacture, import, distribution, use, release, and disposal of new and existing chemicals in US commerce.

California Proposition 65

The California proposition, Prop 65, protects the state’s drinking water sources from being contaminated with chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm, and requires businesses to inform Californians about exposures to such chemicals.
